Dear Colleagues,
Recently OSHA revised the
Hazard Communication Standard. However, most of the standard will remain the same. The timeframe for implementing all of the changes is June 1, 2016, so there will be sufficient time to transition to the new requirements. However, the deadline for training employees on all of the changes is December 1, 2013. In the event that you do not have the opportunity to attend an OSHA program prior to that date, I am providing the information for you to disseminate to your employees. Please place the new information into your Exposure Control Plan in the Hazard Communication/Chemical section. In addition, when reviewing the new protocols with your employees, please have them sign and date the training document and place in the appropriate section as well. Stay safe, and I look forward to seeing you in the future.
