Sinai Hospital of Baltimore offers a Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIR) on the 5th floor of the Blaustein building (B5 unit). The CIR is an acute, inpatient Rehabilitation unit offering a multidisciplinary approach to therapeutic services for adult patients. This twenty-three bed unit is both accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission for Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
This team works closely together to provide family-centered and individualized care. Our goal is to maximize patients' function and return to the community with increased independence. All patients on the CIR unit receive three hours of rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapies, in addition to nursing care provided by a registered rehabilitation nurse 24 hours a day. The CIR unit provides care for a variety of diagnoses, including joint replacements, cardiac surgery, amputation, chronic pain, and general debility.
Please contact the B5 unit for more information.
