- Continue the Magnet journey by focusing on certification, evidence-based practice, shared decision-making, and nursing research.
- Advance the Patient/Family Centered Care Philosophy to full implementation across the division.
- Build a nursing workforce that demonstrates a high level of engagement.
- Implement a nursing business intelligence system to promote the improvement of clinical outcomes, patient safety, and nursing efficiency.
- Collaborate with the University of Maryland School of Nursing to plan and present a nursing symposium in 2009.
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance the image of healthcare providers in Patient Care Services.
