HEAD INJURIES IN YOUNG ATHLETES:
PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN AND THEIR FUTURE
Mark your calendars and plan to join us Tuesday, October 21, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Suburban Club in Pikesville for an important and timely Lunch & Learn event sponsored by the Sinai Hospital Auxiliary:
Kevin Crutchfield, M.D., director of the Comprehensive Sports Concussion Program at LifeBridge Health's Sandra and Malcolm Berman Brain & Spine Institute and a nationally recognized expert in the field, will be our keynote speaker.
Sylvia Mackey, widow of NFL Hall of Famer and Baltimore Colt star John Mackey and member of the
board of directors for the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration,
and Briana Scurry, retired World Cup and Olympic soccer goalkeeper and patient of Dr. Crutchfield, will participate as panelists.
Dr. Crutchfield will discuss better
ways to recognize the symptoms of head injury and treat its effects, and
his panel will share their own experiences with head injury.
If you coach or treat young athletes or have children or grandchildren who play sports, this is a program you shouldn't miss!
The cost of the program, including lunch, is $20.
