The Adolescent Medicine Program provides clinical care for adolescents with acute and chronic illnesses and other health care maintenance needs. Consultations are available by phone or appointment.
Adolescents with physical or emotional issues are treated through the adolescent consultation service. Common disorders include chronic fatigue, depression, fibromyalgia, headaches, chronic abdominal pain, muscle and joint pain, and substance abuse.
Our board-certified adolescent medicine specialist will review the patient’s medical history, meet with the patient and parents together and individually, examine the adolescent, and provide an assessment and plan. A report is then forwarded to the patient’s primary care physician.
