
Ride and Walk Information
The Save-A-Limb Bike Ride, Walk and Festival features four rides and a 1-mile family walk. Each ride has a different start time. The walk will start alongside the 6-mile bike ride and will be followed by the post-ride carnival, fitness fair and picnic (map of Oregon Ridge Park). Please note that the events will be held rain or shine and helmets are required for ALL riders. If you need assistance during the rides on Saturday, please call 443.420.RIDE (443.420.7433).
Metric Century Ride (62.5-mile Ride)
Start Time: 8 a.m. (register before 7:15 a.m.)

Why We Ride: We will be riding this course to honor the courage and determination of adults and children who are waiting for treatment because they cannot afford it. We also ride to honor the compassion of our physicians and staff.
About the Course: This 62.5-mile course is challenging and quite hilly. It will take you through one of the most beautiful and historic parts of Maryland. The course has more than 2,400 feet of climb, so this ride is not meant for the weak of heart. You will cycle through Pretty Boy Reservoir, over bridges and through countryside that you did not know existed in Maryland. We will provide support during the ride. Make sure you bring your camera and prepare for the hills!
Timing Chip: Each participant will be given a Gran Fondo timing chip, which will track each rider's finishing time.

30-Mile Ride

Why We Ride: We will be riding this course to honor the courage of people who live with daily pain and have difficulty walking because they are unable to afford hip or knee replacement.
About the Course: This course traverses the beautiful rolling landscape of Maryland's horse country. Please note that the 30-mile ride is an extremely challenging course with more than 2,400 feet of climb.
Timing Chip: Each participant will be given a Gran Fondo timing chip, which will track each rider's finishing time.

Why We Ride: We will be riding these courses to honor the courage of our pediatric patients with limb length discrepancies or deformities. Many of these children undergo multiple stages of treatment throughout their childhood and relocate to Baltimore for months at a time to receive treatment and physical therapy.
About the Courses: The 15-mile ride is a relaxing and fun ride that is perfect for the
weekend warrior. Don't forget to take a moment to stop and enjoy all of
the incredible views. Note: There are no water stops on the 15-mile ride; please make sure that you are prepared.
This 6-mile family-friendly ride is enjoyable for cyclists of all levels. This course will be blocked to vehicle traffic. Come and enjoy all the fun!
