Dr. Herzenberg was a visiting professor at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. He lectured on achondroplasia.

Dr. Herzenberg participated in a debate entitled "Limb Lengthening Pro/Con Debate: 10-year-old with Achondroplasia." This debate occurred at the 76th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons during the specialty day for the organization called the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
Dr. Herzenberg participated in the Grand Rounds for the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. He lectured on limb lengthening and reconstruction for skeletal dysplasia.

Dr. Herzenberg was a visiting professor at Columbia University in New York, NY. He lectured on lengthening over nails during the Orthopaedic Grand Rounds.
Dr. Herzenberg lectured on the conservative management of clubfoot during a conference entitled "Pediatric Issues: 2009 Update for the Practicing Physician" that was held at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

The Council of the Israel Orthopaedic Association awarded Professor John E. Herzenberg honorary membership in appreciation of his contribution to orthopedic education in Israel.
