Dr. John E. Herzenberg was inducted as an Honorary Member of the Israel Orthopaedic Association (IOA) at their 29th Annual Meeting in Tel Aviv, Israel, in December, 2009. He was awarded this honor after years of dedicated service towards advancing the teaching of orthopedic surgery in Israel. Over the past two decades, Dr. Herzenberg has taught numerous courses in Israel and has performed surgery on a voluntary basis at hospitals in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Afula. He has also trained five Israeli orthopaedic surgeons who have come to the USA to study as post-graduate fellows. In addition to being honored at the 29th annual meeting of the IOA, Dr. Herzenberg also presented three scientific papers at the meeting.
