Spirit of Women

Spirit of WomenNorthwest Hospital is proud to belong to the strong Spirit of Women network of over 150 hospitals in more than 100 cities across America. Northwest is the only Spirit hospital in Maryland!

The group of hospitals and health care providers who are part of Spirit of Women seek to educate women and their loved ones about key women’s health topics such as weight loss, menopause, cancer, incontinence, diabetes and heart disease. As a Spirit of Women hospital, Northwest has made a commitment to spread the good news that being a healthy woman is not just about having a great relationship with your health care provider, but also about having good times … healthy times with your family and friends.

At select times of the year, Northwest Hospital sponsors Spirit of Women events at which women can gather and learn important health information in a fun and relaxing environment. Spirit of Women calls it “Health-u-tainment®,” or “balancing serious information with a serious good time.”
