With regards to the management of chest wall, lung, tracheal and esophageal problems, the Division of Thoracic Surgery provides a full range of the most up-to-date outpatient and inpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The members of this Division also manage emergency procedures involving the pericardium, such as pericardial tamponade.
The Division has the active support of Northwest Hospital's Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Anesthesiology as well as the ongoing support provided by Northwest Hospital's Intensive Care Specialists.
