LifeBridge Health Named Best Place to Work for the Second Time
|

LifeBridge Health was once again named one of eight finalists and the overall winner of the Best Places to Work in Greater Baltimore award in the large business category (500-plus employees) on May 17. More than 170 businesses and organizations entered the second annual competition hosted by the Baltimore Business Journal.
"It's an honor to be recognized a second year in a row. This award demonstrates how well our employees work together, the camaraderie felt throughout the system and our continued focus on providing excellent quality of care for our patients,” said Warren Green, CEO, LifeBridge Health, who accepted the award on behalf of all LifeBridge employees.
During the past year, LifeBridge Health has introduced several new employee benefit programs and services. Some of the recent changes include adoption assistance; phased-in retirement; a telecommuting pilot program; and BridgeList, an online forum where employees with similar interests can meet, share skills, start carpools and swap free stuff.
In addition, the LifeBridge Human Resources department made it easier for employees to get quick answers to their HR questions by kicking off Employee Services in May 2006. Each month, Employee Services is one of the most frequently visited spots on BridgeNet, LifeBridge Health's internal Web site. The site contains important downloadable health insurance and tax forms, links to benefit providers, employee and manager checklists, and policy and benefits information.
In 2006, the Maryland Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management also named LifeBridge Health a Maryland Employer of Distinction.
