The Magic of Life Gala Raises More than $2.5 Million
Proceeds Benefit Programs and Services Provided by LifeBridge
Health
Baltimore has once again made the LifeBridge Health Magic of Life Gala one of
the most successful one-day fundraisers in the city. The event, held at the
Hippodrome Theatre, raised more than $2.5 million for programs and services
provided by LifeBridge Health and its member institutions – Sinai Hospital of
Baltimore, Northwest Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital,
and Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home.
"I was honored to have been part of such an important event, where the
beneficiaries of our community's generosity will be the patients and their
families who rely on the many vital health care programs and services offered
throughout LifeBridge Health," said Lynn Abeshouse, chair of the Magic of Life
Gala and managing principal of Abeshouse Partners, a commercial real estate
brokerage firm. Joining Abeshouse as co-chairs were Thomas Obrecht, president of
Obrecht Properties, LLC, and Richard Blue Jr., president of Blue & Obrecht
Realty, LLC.
This year's Gala featured a performance by music legend
George Benson, who is best known for such hits as "Give Me the Night" and "In
Your Eyes."
"We are deeply grateful to all of our sponsors who share our vision of
serving the community's health care needs," said Warren Green, president and
CEO, LifeBridge Health."
