In response to the tragedy and devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, LifeBridge Health has made a $100,000 corporate donation to The Care Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established by the hospital community to help health care workers in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi rebuild their lives.
"As a community health care system, everyone at LifeBridge Health understands the importance to rebuild those communities affected by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina,” said Warren Green, president and CEO, LifeBridge Health. "Many health care employees in the Gulf Coast area lost everything, yet continued to provide aid to their patients and neighbors who were injured in the storm. Through donations made to The Care Fund, these heroic people can begin re-assemble their lives.”
The Care Fund, was created by state hospital associations in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi to assist hospital employees and their families affected by Hurricane Katrina. Donations made to The Care Fund will be used to assist full and part-time hospital employees who lost immediate family members, suffered significant physical injury due to the storm, or suffered significant property loss. More information about The Care Fund can be found online at www.thecarefund.net.
