Baltimore, MD – Julie Ellsworth Cox, vice president of
Development for LifeBridge Health, has received a 2012 Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) Fellow designation (FAHP), the highest level of achievement in the field of health care philanthropy. According to the AHP, “Conferring of the Fellow designation is not so much an award, as it is recognition of individual professional distinction, well earned through dedication and continual self-advancement.”
Cox joins five other development professionals who have been given this honor as part of its 38th Fellows class. Overall, 181 professionals have received this distinction. The AHP is dedicated to the advancement of health care institutions and organizations through the enhancement of its members' performance and professionalism.
Under Cox’s leadership, LifeBridge Health Development generated nearly $21 million in public and private support during the last fiscal year. This includes securing significant contributions to major capital projects in the LifeBridge Health system. A major highlight for fiscal year 2012 was the achievement of the $20 million fundraising goal for the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital that opened in March. Overall, Cox has 22 years of development experience and has served as LifeBridge Health’s vice president of Development since 2008.
