Erik Wexler Named President of Northwest Hospital Center

Erik G. Wexler has been named president and chief operating officer of Northwest Hospital Center and senior vice president of LifeBridge Health, Northwest's parent company. He begins his new position January 1, 2004.

"Erik's selection brings to a close an extensive national search for the best person to maintain Northwest's tradition of excellent care for our community and to lead the Hospital to even greater achievements in the years ahead,” said Warren Green, president and CEO of LifeBridge Health.

Wexler comes to Northwest Hospital from Midstate Medical Center in Meriden, Connecticut, where he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In his current position, Wexler is responsible for the overall operations of this two-campus, community-based acute-care hospital, which is affiliated with the Hartford Health Care System.

LifeBridge Health is one of the largest and most comprehensive providers of health services in the northwest Baltimore region. In addition to Northwest Hospital Center, LifeBridge Health includes Sinai Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home and other related affiliates and subsidiaries.
