Jennifer Terrell has joined the staff of Northwest Hospital
Center as the manager of Volunteer Services.
In her new
position, Terrell is responsible for managing and coordinating Northwest
Hospital's volunteer department and programs. She also will act as a
liaison between the community and as the support system to the hospital's
Auxiliary.
"My goals as the new manager of Volunteer Services are to evaluate the needs
of the community and understand community trends as they pertain to health
care,” said Terrell. "I also plan to conduct extensive community youth
outreach, monitor signature successful programs at Northwest Hospital and
enhance other programs that need support.”
Terrell relocated from Houston, Texas in 2004, where she was the volunteer
coordinator at Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital. While there, she managed the
volunteer program, including the recruitment, orientation and placement of new
volunteers.
She organized appreciation events and oversaw the
yearly budget for the volunteer program. Prior to accepting the position
at Northwest Hospital, she was the volunteer coordinator at Carroll Hospital
Center.
Terrell completed training as a medical assistant at the Texas
School of Business, in Houston, Texas. She lives in Westminster, Md., with
her husband and three children.
