Joseph Wiley, M.D., Appointed Chief of Pediatrics at Sinai Hospital


Joseph Wiley, M.D., was recently named chief of the department of Pediatrics at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He will continue as division head of the department of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, a position that he assumed in 2000 when he joined Sinai Hospital.

Prior to his appointment at Sinai, Wiley was an associate professor of both Pediatrics and Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at UNC, he was director of the Fellowship Training Program in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and director of both the Pediatric Marrow Transplant Program and the Unrelated Marrow Transplant Program.

Wiley is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Wiley is also a member of several professional organizations and committees, including the American Society of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, the Children's Cancer Group and the Southeastern University Marrow Transplant Consortium.
