Stanley A. Klatsky, M.D., chief of Plastic Surgery at Northwest Hospital Center, was honored with the Distinguished Service Award by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), during its recent annual meeting in Las Vegas.
The Distinguished Service Award has been presented only eight times in the 35-year history of the ASAPS, the leading national organization of surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who specialize in cosmetic surgery of the face and body.
Dr. Klatsky served as ASAPS president in 1986-87 and has remained active on the organization's Board. He has served as editor in chief of Aesthetic Surgery Journal, ASAPS' peer-reviewed publication, since 1998. He is also a founding member and past president of the John Staige Davis Society (Plastic Surgeons of Maryland) and a founding member of the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Klatsky is also associate professor, Plastic Surgery Division, at the Johns Hopkins University School and director of Cosmetic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. Klatsky recently relocated his private practice to Lutherville. He has lectured nationally and internationally as an invited visiting professor and has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Northwest Hospital Center is a member of LifeBridge Health, a regional health organization, which includes Sinai Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home, and related subsidiaries and affiliates.
