Division of Interventional Radiology - Meet Our Physicians

Sinai and Northwest Hospitals Division of Interventional Radiology and Neurointerventional Services are comprised of board-certified diagnostic radiologists and fellowship-trained interventional neuroradiologist. They are actively involved in the ongoing growth of interventional radiology treatments.

John C. Brunson Jr, M.D.

John C. Brunson Jr, M.D.

Dr. Brunson earned his medical degree from Temple University's School of Medicine. Following a general surgery internship at Abington Memorial Hospital, he completed a diagnostic radiology residency program at Howard University Hospital, where he was appointed chief resident. Dr. Brunson is an expert in neuroradiology. He received fellowship training in diagnostic neuroradiology from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and full fellowship training in interventional neuroradiology at Columbia University's College of Physician and Surgeons. He has authored several research publications in these areas of subspecializatons. He has presented and lectured at national conferences. Dr. Brunson is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology. He is a senior member of the American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology/Society of Neurointerventional Surgery and the American Society of Neuroradiology and other professional societies.

Dale B. Johnson, M.D.

Dale B. Johnson, M.D.

Dr. Johnson has practiced in all areas of diagnostic radiology with subspecialties in Vascular Interventional Radiology. He has special interest in Liver Tumor Chemoembolization, Renal Cryoablation, Transjugular Intrahepatic Portasysemic Shunts (TIPS), and Women's Interventional Treatments such as Uterine Fibroid Embolization, Hysterosalpingogram, and Fallopian Tube Recanalization. He attended medical school at Yale University School of Medicine and completed an Interventional Radiology fellowship at McGill University Hospital. Dr. Johnson is a Sinai Faculty Practice member of the Division of Interventional Radiology, Imaging at Northwest Hospital, LifeBridge Health Vascular Institute, and Sinai Department of Radiology. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology with Certificate of Added Qualifications in Interventional Radiology.

 

 

Andrew W. Long, M.D.

Dr. Andrew W. Long joined Sinai and Northwest Hospitals in 2010. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, obtained residency training at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. Dr. Long is well accomplished in General Interventional Radiology. His interests are in Oncologic Interventional Treatment. Dr. Long is board certified by the American Board of Radiology with Certificate of Added Qualifications in Interventional Radiology.
