Dr. David “Dirk” Leu, M.D., is interested in all aspects of orthopedic trauma and pediatric orthopedic surgery including: pelvic trauma, spinal trauma, pediatric scoliosis, developmental hip dysplasia and fractures involving the joints.
Before entering the medical field, he served for more than eight years supporting operations for the United States and NATO in several overseas conflicts as a Navy Seal.
The Navy played a large role in shaping Dr. Leu’s character; however, his true goal was always to help people. During his time in the armed forces, he felt great satisfaction when working with children. With this in mind, he left the Navy to pursue a career in pediatric orthopedic surgery.
