Baltimore Business Journal Green Policy Award
LifeBridge Health won the first Green Policy category award at the Baltimore Business Journal’s inaugural Green Business awards luncheon. The Green Awards recognize the greenest Baltimore businesses in seven different categories.
EPA Trailblazer Award
For its corporate waste management policies, food reduction and composting, and environmentally-friendly purchasing policies, LifeBridge Health was one of six hospitals to receive a Trailblazer Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
2010
Communitas Award for Green Initiatives
LifeBridge Health won the 2010 Communitas Award for Green Initiatives, under the category of Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility. Communitas Award winners are recognized for their commitment to sustainable, ethical or philanthropy business practices, as well as volunteerism.
Partner for Change with Distinction Award
Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital were award winners at the 2010 Environmental Excellence Awards ceremony at the CleanMed conference. Sinai and Northwest won the Partner for Change with Distinction Award and the Making Medicine Mercury-Free Award. Levindale won the Partner for Change Award and the Making Medicine Mercury-Free award.
2011
Partner for Change Award
LifeBridge Health was honored with three Partner for Change Awards for its commitment to protecting the environment and human health. Practice Greenhealth, a national membership organization for health care facilities committed to environmentally responsible operations, presented the awards to LifeBridge Health centers Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital.
GreenCare Award
LifeBridge Health took home four GreenCare Awards in the following categories: Overall Honorable Mention; Honorable Mention for Housekeeping and Maintenance; Winner for Organizational Commitment and Honorable Mention for Purchasing. The GreenCare Awards honor the nation’s leading hospitals, health care systems, and physician practices committed to environmental sustainability.
