At LifeBridge Health, we are continually evaluating our benefits to meet the needs of our diverse workforce. In addition to market competitive compensation, many of your employee benefits are paid for 100% by LifeBridge Health or are substantially subsidized to help you with the cost.
As part of our ongoing effort to be a Great Place to Work, we are pleased to present the following benefits to our employees. As you'll see, there are many benefit options and you may choose the benefits that you want - based on your needs.
Health Insurance
Choose any doctor under the Triple Option Health plan. This benefit gives employees the right to choose a LifeBridge Health network provider, a Blue Cross Blue Shield provider or an out-of-network provider. The Prescription Drug Plan provides generic, brand and non-formulary drugs.
Vision Coverage
Employees receive discounts on eye exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses.
Dental Coverage
The annual maximum benefit for dental coverage is $1,500 for all eligible non-union employees.
Disability Coverage
Short-term and long-term disability is available. In the event of a long-term disability, full-time employees will continue to receive part of their pay.
Retirement Plans
403(b)/401(k) and pension plans are offered at LifeBridge Health. Investment advisers help employees with their retirement plans, and a company match is available.
Adoption Assistance
LifeBridge Health now provides financial reimbursement of up to $3,500 to eligible employees who adopt a child under the age of 18.
Scholarship Program
Employees’ children or dependent grandchildren who will be college sophomores are eligible to apply for the LifeBridge Health scholarship program. Awards of $2,500 each will be granted for students with a health care major, and $1,500 each for students with a non-health care major.
Phase-In Retirement
Full-time and part-time, non-union employees age 60 or older, who have worked at LifeBridge Health for at least five years, can reduce their hours and become or stay part-time as they approach retirement, yet keep their lower full-time medical, prescription and dental benefits rates.
Flexible Spending Accounts
FSA accounts allow pre-tax payments for health care expenses like prescriptions; eyeglasses; and dependent care expenses, including child and adult day care, nursery or preschool fees, and summer day camps.

Career Development Opportunities
Tuition Assistance
Receive $3,500 - $5,000 annual reimbursement for higher education courses. Annual reimbursement is prorated for part-time employees.
Workforce Development
In addition to tuition assistance, employees can take classes in computer skills and medical terminology. Each facility is defining career ladders and offers educational opportunities for employees to get better prepared to go back to school to earn a degree.
Education Resource Center
The ERC provides education and role training to enhance clinical performance and safe practice for LifeBridge Health. Additionally, they offer continuing education in various forms: in-services, consortiums, workshops, computer-based training and internships to meet your individual, unit or department needs.
Center for Leadership and Professional Development
The center provides management, leadership and professional courses designed to improve performance, increase effectiveness by building and refining leadership skills, teamwork, collaboration, and communication. The center also provides LifeBridge Health leaders with resources, tools, assessments, and custom interventions for teams to increase collaboration and productivity.
Performance Management
To do your best work you have to get feedback on how you are performing. LifeBridge Health employees receive annual reviews and regular feedback from their supervisors.

Employees receive a discount on the membership fee at LifeBridge Health & Fitness, one of greater Baltimore’s preeminent health and fitness centers.
Fitness Challenge at LifeBridge Health & Fitness
This 10-week program encourages employees to get in shape with a health assessment and a trial membership at LifeBridge Health & Fitness.
Free Flu Shots
Employees receive a free flu shot each year.
Dining Options and Discounts
On-site cafeterias offer employees a chance to purchase a meal or snack. A discount is offered to every employee purchasing a beverage, snack or meal at these cafeterias. Additionally, healthy food choices are available throughout LifeBridge Health campuses. Cafeterias, vending machines and gift shops offer healthy meals and snacks for employees and visitors.
Smart Card
By enrolling in the Smart Card program on site purchases for food, snacks and drinks, along with items from the gift shop, may be automatically deducted from your paycheck.
Parking
Each facility provides free parking with shuttle service to campus where needed.
Banking
In addition to on-site ATMs, some locations offer the convenience of an on-site credit union.
Direct Deposit
Employees are encouraged to take advantage of the convenience of electing to have their paycheck deposited directly into their bank account.

LB Points
This innovative employee recognition and rewards program is designed to reward employees for excellent performance. Points are awarded for achievements or years of service and can be redeemed for merchandise, travel or gift cards.
Service Awards
LifeBridge Health celebrates the contributions of employees who have served five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of service with a special event and a gift.
Star and SuperStar
These programs reward employees who demonstrate superior customer service that is recognized by patients and co-workers. Many departments also have special employee recognition programs.

Annual employee picnics, employee holiday parties, Nurses Week, Doctors Day, Allied Health Professionals Week, Health Care Environmental Services and Housekeeping Week—these are just a few of the events celebrated throughout the year.

Employee Referrals
When an employee recommends someone for a position and that person is hired, the employee may be eligible for a cash reward.
