If you're a patient suffering from an acute cardiac problem such as a heart attack or heart disease, the ER-7 centers at Sinai and Northwest Hospitals can help you.
The Emergency Chest Pain Center at Sinai Hospital is a cornerstone of one of the most advanced cardiac care facilities in the region. It features an extensive monitoring system that includes an ambulance-to-hospital EKG transfer system; advanced cardiac stress tests; and an evaluation unit for individuals suffering chest pain without evidence of a heart attack. The Emergency Chest Pain Center is part of The LifeBridge Health Cardiovascular Institute, one of the region's most advanced and comprehensive cardiac care centers. For the past three years, the Institute has been ranked as one of the country's top 50 Heart Hospitals by U.S News & World Report. Sinai Hospital is the only community hospital in Maryland to receive this important distinction.
The Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC) has accredited Northwest Hospital as a Chest Pain Center. To earn this distinction Northwest Hospital was rigorously evaluated by the SCPC for its ability to assess, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.
