The Magic of Life Gala was held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore.
The opening program featured five patients and their caregivers (see video below) before they were invited on stage to be introduced to the crowd of 1,700+ guests attending the event. Event Chairs Laura Black and Charles Klein, and Brian and Martha Gibbons presented a "check" to LifeBridge Health President and CEO, Neil Meltzer, as the grand total of proceeds raised was unveiled on the screen above. Applause and cheers filled the room when $3,253,400 appeared on the screen. This is the most money raised for any Magic of Life Gala event to date.
Guests were entertained by the Morgan State University Choir before Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Jackson Browne, took the stage. He had everyone on their feet dancing and singing along to the familiar lyrics of his songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's.

The Gala proceeds benefit LifeBridge Health programs and services, such as those featured in the video below. They include a pediatric patient diagnosed with lymphoma, a woman undergoing cardiac rehabilitation, a grateful cancer patient, a young woman who was treated for Perthes, and a young man who suffered from a traumatic brain injury and other serious injuries.
LifeBridge Health wants to thank everyone who was part of the 2014 Magic of Life Gala, and those who continue to support our patients with their generous care and donations.
