Meet our complementary health providers offering services in the Tevis Center for Wellness:

Samantha Bilodeau

Samantha is a 2009 graduate of the Stillpoint Program of Massage Therapy in Greenfield, Massachusetts.

Samantha is state licensed and has been practicing in Maryland for two years. She is a member of the Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Professionals association. She is certified in pre- and postnatal massage, infant massage, fascial movement taping and equine sports massage.

Samantha uses a variety of Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, stretching, and active and passive movement to tailor each session for the individual client. She believes the body has an innate wisdom for wellness, and she enjoys sharing her skills with others to help promote their health and well-being. 
   

Janine Gist

Janine Gist, a licensed esthetician and nail technician, graduated from Von Lee School of Esthetics in 1989. She has worked in salons since 1987 and has been a business owner for 16 years. She has attended additional skin care classes, sensitized skin treatment training, salon sanitation training and is certified in oncology and diabetic skin care.

Janine has always been fascinated with skin care and skin care techniques.

She works hard to keep herself educated on a variety of skin conditions and ways to help clients.
   

Christine S. Hill, LMT

Christine S. Hill is a graduate of Holistic Massage Training Institute. She is Maryland State licensed, nationally certified and a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals. She has additional certifications in prenatal and postnatal massage, as well as oncology massage.

Christine combines several types of therapeutic massage ranging from relaxing Swedish to addressing troublesome areas with deep tissue and stretching, personalizing each session to suit your need.

She has a passion for caring for others and encourages positive physical, mental and emotional well-being.
   

Karen Hunter Dixon, LMT, CLT, Reiki Master

Karen is a 1994 graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage and a 2008 graduate of the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. Karen’s basic education included Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial massage techniques. She is also Maryland State Licensed and a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals association. Her continued education in the field of massage included pre- and postnatal massage, cancer and mastectomy massage, integrative reflexology, cranio-sacral therapy and lymphatic massage. She is a Reiki Master and works with Chakra energy systems.


Karen has been a complementary health provider since the program’s inception 16 years ago.
   

Susan McIntosh, M.Ac., L.Ac.

Susan McIntosh is a licensed acupuncturist who graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health, formerly Tai Sophia Institute, in 1999, in Laurel, Md., with a master’s degree in acupuncture. Prior to acupuncture school, Susan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in art at Towson University. Since graduating, she has continued her education by studying under the masters Dr.Tan and Dr. Nogier, to name a few.

Susan has successfully given acupuncture as an adjunct to medical treatment for a broad range of health conditions. These include, but are not limited to, digestive disorders, chemotherapy- related side effects, chronic and acute pain, migraines, anxiety, depression, stress and fatigue, pregnancy-related issues, fertility and PMS.

Susan now offers facial rejuvenation and National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) auricular acupuncture for addictions.

Susan is a native of Manchester, Maryland, and currently lives in Baltimore County. In her free time, Susan loves to read and travel.
