James Frazier III, MD

James Frazier III, MD, completed a neurosurgical residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital after earning a medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and an undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. As a medical student, Dr. Frazier received the Hunterian Medical Student Research Award for his work on interstitial chemotherapy for brain tumors. During his training, Dr. Frazier completed specialized fellowships in neuro-oncology and radiosurgery.

Dr. Frazier specializes in the comprehensive treatment of a wide variety of intracranial and spinal disorders, including brain and spine tumors, degenerative spine disease, and spinal trauma. He also has a special interest in the use of minimally invasive spine techniques. Dr. Frazier is widely published, having authored several peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts. He is an active member of numerous professional societies, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

 
Braeme Glaun, M.D.

Braeme Glaun, M.D., is a neuromuscular neurologist and director of the neuromuscular division at The Sandra and Malcolm Berman Brain & Spine Institute. His main areas of expertise are dystonia, muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, neuromuscular disorders/EMG, numbness, tingling, neck and back pain, peripheral neuropathy, tremor, and weakness/trouble walking.

Dr. Glaun attended medical school at the University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa. After an internship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, he completed a residency in neurology and a fellowship in neurophysiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital for Special Surgery. He is board certified in neurology, with subspecialty certification in clinical neurophysiology, and is a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM)

Under Dr. Glaun’s leadership, the Brain & Spine Institute’s neuromuscular/electrodiagnostic laboratory received Accreditation with Exemplary status from the AANEM, which is the highest level of accreditation that a center can receive from that organization. This designation ensures that patients receive quality medical care in a safe environment.
