Out-of-town patients who require weeks and even months of post-surgical rehabilitation and treatment at Sinai Hospital experience not only physical hardship, but financial as well. Even with insurance coverage for the medical expenses, the costs of temporary local housing are considerable, placing a great strain on many of our patients and their families.
The Hackerman-Patz House will be a "home away from home" for Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics patients, pediatric patients with cancer, and other out-of-town patients and their families who need long-term temporary lodging while receiving care.
The operating costs for the Hackerman-Patz House at Sinai will be supported by modest guest fees and through the generosity of special friends, like you. Please help us assist our out-of-town patients and their families, and make this vision a reality. Thank you for your support!
