Sinai Hospital Addictions Recovery Program (SHARP) is an outpatient substance abuse program that provides individual, group, and family counseling to opiate-addicted patients. Methadone is used in conjunction with these other therapies to help patients manage their addictions. The program serves adults ages 18 and over, and structures its clinical services on a Levels of Care model, which is based on patients' compliance with treatment and toxicology results. SHARP also offers primary care services as well as integrated psychiatric care for those patients with a co-existing disorder.
