The Program Directors, participating faculty, and support staff are committed to bringing all resources to bear to assure a worthwhile educational experience. This commitment is evidenced by the direct, continual supervision of clinical and surgical activities of the fellows by the faculty. Fellows are expected to participate in all clinical, surgical, and research activities of the Center alongside the faculty. Fellows work closely alongside orthopaedic residents. However, there is a sufficiently large volume of clinical material to ensure that the education of the fellows does not interfere with the training of the residents, and vice versa.

The Program Directors directly monitor and supervise the interface between fellows and residents. The fellows also maintain a working relationship with the residents and, when necessary, with residents and fellows from other disciplines.

To further its educational goals, the Center sponsors and conducts an international workshop/symposium on an annual basis, the Annual Baltimore Limb Deformity Course, which is accredited by the American Medical Association for Continuing Medical Education (CME). Fellows are required to attend this course and to assist in the preparation and conduct of the workshops (as laboratory assistants) to further their educational experience. Former fellows are routinely invited back as Instructors for this course, which serves as a "refresher" course for them.
