At Sinai over 300 patients are admitted annually for treatment of invasive gynecologic neoplasia. This broad patient base allows us to comprehensively teach the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancer. Residents are educated in the fundamentals of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy and learn to manage acutely and chronically ill patients. Multidisciplinary interaction with medical oncologists, radiation therapists, pathologists, pharmacologists and clinical nurse specialists underscores the principles of collaborative effort in the care of oncology patients.
