Welcome to the Division of Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery

Our mission is to help those individuals who are morbidly obese and have been unsuccessful in losing weight. The Division provides the latest surgical techniques in gastric bypass, including laparoscopy, in addition to physician expertise, nutritional counseling and emotional support to help patients successfully realize their weight loss goals.

Patients need to understand that obesity surgery not only will impact on the life of the individual, but also on the life of family and friends.  For that reason, the Bariatric Surgery Program at Sinai Hospital hosts monthly support groups where different topics pertinent to obesity are elaborated and discussed by different medical authorities. Everyone, patients, family and friends are welcome.
