David Sigman, M.D.,
has been named urologist-in-chief for Northwest Hospital Center, Department of
Urology.�
Sigman, a partner with Chesapeake Urology
Associates, has been affiliated with Northwest Hospital for seven years.�
As chief of Urology, Sigman is
responsible for overseeing the quality of urologic care provided at Northwest
Hospital, maintaining the call schedule for all urologists and continuing to
build and develop a strong Department of Urology that strives to provide
state-of-the-art technology and services.
My goal is to maintain the highest
quality of urologic care afforded to the patients who come to Northwest Hospital
Center,� said Sigman.� I want to maintain the strong clinical acumen and
commitment to care currently provided by the Department of Urology.��
I hope to build upon the state-of-the-art care provided to our patients, which
ranges from advanced laparoscopic surgery for urologic cancer and minimally
invasive procedures for bladder control issues to novel endourologic procedures
for the treatment of kidney stone disease,� said
Sigman.�����
Sigman is also a member of the medical
executive committee at Northwest Hospital and member of the Mid-Atlantic
Section: American Urological Association.
Sigman received his undergraduate degree
from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.� He completed his medical
degree at the University of Maryland Medical School, Baltimore, Md.� His
residency in urology and surgery was completed at University of Maryland Medical
School. Sigman is board certified in urology by the American Board of
Urology.
