Intern year
Interns complete their inpatient medicine rotations
with one month each of inpatient Internal Medicine and Medical ICU. Other
Internal Medicine rotations include ambulatory medicine and Emergency department
rotations. The balance of the intern year is an introduction to the
basics of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with an intensive rotation in OB
sonography.
Second year
Second years participate in night
float coverage for two nonconcurrent months. They also serve as junior residents
on the Oncology, Gynecology and Obstetric service. Subspecialty rotations
this year include Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Third
year
Third years begin senior resident
responsibilities on GYN, night float, and OB services as well as subspecialty rotations
in Urology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology. Ambulatory
Internal Medicine completes Internal Medicine requirements this year.
Fourth year
Chief year consists of chief resident responsibilities of the
Obstetrics, Gynecology and Oncology rotations, as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
