TITLE OF COURSE:	Pediatric Neurology

DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF COURSE:	The student will participate in the evaluation of children with a variety of neurologic complaints including headaches, tic, developmental delay, and seizure. Diagnosis frequently encountered include the various epilipsies, headache syndromes, tic disorders, autism, and ADHD. Children with rarer disorders, including the neurodegenerative diseases and neuromuscular problems, may also be encountered. The student will participate in the office with outpatient evaluations and will be involved with inpatient consultations and rounds. The goal is to become familiar with the neurologic exam at various ages and to be comfortable with the more common diagnoses encountered.
