To decontaminate, clean, pre-sterilize, assemble, wrap and terminally sterilize all reusable patient care supplies, equipment and instrumentation in the hospital. Responsible for instrument inventory and related supplies for required performance in the operating room and processing department.
Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent. Requires a minimum of two years experience as a sterile processing tech. Must be able to read and understand written and oral communication, write legibly and communicate well. Knowledge of orthopedic devices and other equipment passing through a Materials Management department is mandatory.
