Hall 2 is a 60-bed long term care unit, focusing on the care of the dementia patient. The Dementia Special Care Unit evolved in 1991 in an attempt to provide dementia-specific care in a long term care setting. The focus continues to remain concentrated on maximizing individual potential despite cognitive loss. As research continues in the field of dementia, we have developed an expanded philosophy in which every interaction creates an opportunity for therapeutic benefit. This position requires a pharmacology exam which can be taken Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm.
