Administrative Associate / Unit Clerk

Job Details: - High school diploma or equivalent is required
- 1-2 years experience is required
- Customer service skills are required
Under moderate supervision and guidance from the Clinical Leader, provides direct clerical and administrative support to the patient care unit. Organizes, coordinates and performs activities such as: patient admission, registration and discharge; ordering of tests and procedures; unit record keeping; answering phones and unit communication; and hospitality. Maintains efficient flow of information, patients and visitors, patient schedules and unit activities.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Six (6) months of clerical experience. Must be able to read and write. Must demonstrate good communication, public relations, interpersonal, and organizational skills; and an aptitude for computer data entry and basic operations such as log-on/off and menu selection. Knowledge of medical terminology obtained through formal training or previous experience. Must successfully complete Hospital orientation/training program.
