The Levindale Gero-Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization
Program (PHP) is a short-term outpatient program designed specifically for older
adults who are experiencing behavioral or emotional difficulties, but do not
require inpatient treatment. In addition, PHP offers ideal transitional
treatment as needed upon discharge from inpatient psychiatric care. This
extended support greatly reduces the possibilities of relapse.
Located in a comfortable and relaxed setting, the Levindale PHP provides
intensive treatment in a therapeutic community of peers. The program utilizes
individual, family, and group therapies as well as medication management to help
each client work toward his or her specific goals. The PHP focuses on the
techniques necessary to cope with daily life and helps in readjusting to home
and community.
Program hours are 10:00AM. - 3:00PM, Monday through Friday. Lunch and snack
are provided. Every effort is made to provide transportation. Most patients
attend sessions all five days; however, some may attend less days depending on
their treatment goals.
A complete in-home assessment is administered by a Registered Nurse at no
charge.
