DESCRIPTION AND
GOALS OF COURSE:
|
The International Center for Limb Lengthening specializes in complex tertiary limb reconstruction problems in children and adults. Patients come from across the US and typically have challenging problems secondary to either birth defects or trauma. We use a wide variety of techniques including external fixators and internal fixation. The student will participate in the clinic evaluation and surgery of these patients, working directly with either Dr. Herzenberg or Paley. Students also interact with fellows, and have graduated responsibility. The student is expected to attend teaching rounds and conferences. |
