The Center for Breast Care and Bone Health at Northwest Hospital Center fulfilled all of the requirements for its mammography quality assurance accreditation inspection.

The center, which celebrated its 15th anniversary last summer, received no violations in the annual Food and Drug Administration inspection. Under the Mammography Quality Standards Act, all centers must pass an annual inspection to provide mammography services in the United States.

The Center for Breast Care and Bone Health is a full-service breast center offering screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound and breast biopsies, as well as bone densitometry to detect the onset of osteoporosis.

The Center for Breast Care and Bone Health is also accredited by the American College of Radiology.

Northwest Hospital Center is a member of LifeBridge Health, a regional health organization, which includes Sinai Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home, and related subsidiaries and affiliates.
