Sinai�s Department of Cardiology continues to receive high marks for the quality of care that it provides,� said Neil Meltzer, president and COO, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. In fact, for the past two years our cardiology program has also been recognized by U. S. News & World Report as one of the top 50 heart hospitals in the nation.�

Solucient�s hospital study focused on hospitals that treat a wide variety of cardiology patients. It took into account several factors including procedure volumes, medical and surgical mortality, complication rates, and length of stay. The categories include 30 teaching hospitals with cardiovascular residency programs, 40 teaching Solucient Award hospitals without cardiovascular residency programs, such as Sinai, and 30 community hospitals.
