LifeBridge Health & Fitness once again offers the latest fitness technology with the launch of BodyShape scanning. This system allows fitness experts to map an individuals exact body shape and measure it to a tenth of an inch. A customized workout plan is then established based on individual goals.
Seeing really is believing, and BodyShape gives the client the opportunity to measure and visualize how well his or her exercise program is working, said Joel Schlossberg, general manager, LifeBridge Health & Fitness. Its a wonderful way to gauge what needs to be done to work on specific areas of the body.
The BodyShape system literally looks like a large photo booth and uses non-invasive, normal white light when taking a 3-D photograph of the bodys image. It does not use lasers or radiation and does not penetrate the skin like an MRI scanner or X-ray.
Clients stand in the same place each time the picture is taken and the programs software automatically locates the same points every time. The resulting images look like a golden statue of a person that focuses on shape as opposed to specific details of the body.
Once the scanning process is complete, the data is burned onto a password protected CD-ROM and is accessed only by the trainer and client during a physical assessment appointment. This appointment is generally set every eight weeks, depending on what is recommended by the trainer.
The BodyShape scan is a service open to both members and non-members of LifeBridge Health & Fitness for a fee. Special discount packages are also available.
