Joel L. Simon has been named vice president for Development for LifeBridge Health. In his new role, Simon will oversee philanthropic fundraising activities for LifeBridge Health, which includes Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital Center, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home, and related subsidiaries and affiliates. Simon�s previous experience in health care fundraising includes six years as the director of Gift Planning for GBMC HealthCare, Inc. of Baltimore. Before that, he served as the associate general counsel for GBMC. Most recently, Simon was working as a regional loan officer for MMA Financial, LLC.

Simon received his bachelor of arts degree in Radio, Television & Film from University of Maryland, College Park. He went on to earn a juris doctor at the University of Maryland School of Law. He currently serves as founder and co-chair of the Jewish Legal Services, which provides free legal advice to those who need it in the community. Simon is also treasurer of the Baltimore Jewish Council Executive Board and is a community volunteer with The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. Simon lives in Reisterstown with his wife, Deb Gordon, and their two children.
