Under limited supervision, analyzes user needs and gathers information for developing and modifying information systems. Evaluates operational procedures of user departments and recommends improvements using current and new application systems. Documents fact-finding results and makes formal presentation of findings, recommendations and specifications. Assists in development of project plans. Prepares technical specifications such as file design, program logic and system controls. Prepares and tests application programs as required. Prepares and tests job control language as required. Designs and prepares testing and training plans for specified projects. Designs and specifies methods and schedule for installing upgrades and modifications and supervises installation. Works with Systems and Network personnel to define plans for installation of equipment and network communications. Documents requests and issues including resolution for management.
Requirements: Bachelor�s Degree in Computer Science, or related field (i.e., Mathematics or Statistics), or equivalent experience. Formal training in systems analysis, with emphasis in user relations and the management of information systems. 4 years programming of which 2 years have been in programming of systems with background in design and analysis; must be familiar with data base design and hardware/software configurations. Proficient PC skills required.
