Performs a variety of activities relating to collection to secure payment from patients, insurance companies and other relevant sources for designated clients; update information systems to reflect daily collection actions utilizing IDX; adjust billing and charge errors, account balances, and related account information; performs monthly audits on quality of team's work; provides training and evaluation of team performance.
Minimum 2-3 years experience in healthcare billing environment using an accounting/ healthcare computer system required. IDX experience preferred. Proficiency with IDX system and client relations/customer service are required. Working knowledge of medical reimbursement, insurance, ICD-9 CPT coding required.
