Millions of people suffer from wounds that will not heal.  If you have a sore or a wound that has not healed in more than six weeks, you should see a wound care specialist.

Wound Care physicians at Northwest Hospital Center provide evaluations, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for wounds. The Wound Care team includes plastic, general and podiatric surgeons as well as registered nurses trained in wound care who are complemented by specialists in vascular surgery, nutrition, dermatology, rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurology, endocrinology, internal medicine, pathology, radiology, social work, and physical and occupational therapy.

Treating Your Wound
Advanced diagnostic procedures help the Northwest team determine the exact cause of your non-healing wound so that a comprehensive and effective plan can be developed to accelerate healing. The Wound Care team uses evolving technologies to effectively manage complex wounds that have not responded to conventional treatment. The team stays in touch with you until the wound is healed or stable. Your referring physician remains involved in and informed about your progress.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a specialized medical treatment in which the patient breathes 100% oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. Learn more about HBOT
