This position requires a pharmacology exam. Meisel Ground Chronic is a 20-bed unit. Our patients no longer require acute services but are unable to return to the community or go to a nursing home due to their medical and nursing needs. They include trach-dependent patients with frequent suctioning needs, patients with extensive wounds (either surgical or pressure-related), and patients requiring TPN or long-term antibiotic therapy. Our interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurses, GNAs, social workers, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, recreation therapists, clinical pharmacist, RN psychiatric clinical specialist, physician assistants, and chaplain. The unit has opportunities for the new graduate and experienced RNs, LPNs, and GNAs.
