- Bachelor's Degree is required
Under limited supervision; responsible for assisting in guidance and coordination of oncology patients and their caregivers through the continuum of care and development and assimilation of appropriate oncology educational materials for patients and their families as defined by the Disease Site Teams and the patients� physicians. Works in conjunction with physicians and members of the Multidisciplinary Disease Site Teams.
Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Three or more years of acute clinical experience. Oncology Experience Preferred. Discharge Planning or Case Management acceptable. Must be licensed as a RN in the State of Maryland. Must have current CPR Heart Saver Plus or Community CPR certification. Self directed and able to organize and complete several tasks / projects simultaneously. Extensive understanding of oncology patient care. Proficient in review and analysis of medical records and other patient care information. Demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to communicate in a culturally diverse environment. Possess average or above average keyboarding skills in a Windows environment. Spreadsheet skills preferred. Must be able to multi-task and handle multiple stressors.
