The Director of Critical Care assesses, directs, coordinates, and implements the activities of the Nursing Department for designated areas to ensure quality patient care. Works collaboratively with the Vice President of Patient Services toward the accomplishment and objectives of the department, the hospital, and other LifeBridge Health facilities. Ability to achieve positive, sustainable results in patient and employee satisfaction. Ability to coach/mentor nurse managers to achieve positive results in nurse retention, agency reduction, and professional growth. Work collaboratively with peers and department heads towards positive growth and mutual problem-solving techniques. Utilizes a combination of creativity, insight, and controls to fiscally manage Critical Care Nursing.
Requirements: Current MD RN License and CPR Certification required. Five years progressive nursing experience in administration of Nursing in a Critical Care setting; Director level experience strongly preferred. Masters Degree required, however, qualified candidates may be in progress in a graduate program. Membership and active participation in professional organizations. Excellent customer service skills required.
