The Director for Patient Financial Services oversees revenue cycle activities for assigned specialties to ensure all revenue is captured and reimbursement is maximized. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the operations unit including data entry, billing, payment posting, account recovery and customer service. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting with overall business planning, budgeting, trend analysis and evaluation of the department's services and performance.
Bachelors degree required with five plus years of management experience in physician revenue cycle or related healthcare field (preferred). Substantial knowledge of physician billing and claims submission required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Proficient computer skills including experience with work processing and spreadsheet applications. IDX billing system experience (preferred).
